Q. How long does it take to get to campus from Nauvoo House Apartments?
A. We are located just 1/2 block west of campus. It is about an 8 minutes walk to reach the center of Campus.
Q. Why is Nauvoo House special?
A. For the following reasons:
- Nauvoo House I is newly remodeled. With new carpet & lenolium.
- Nauvoo House II has nice soft Couches.
- Our lounge is great for parties, and just hanging. With a Pool Table, Foosball Table, Ping-Pong Table, and Comfy Couches.
Q. Who manages Nauvoo House Apartments?
A. Nauvoo House is managed by Shannon and Elizabeth. Their Families live on site and love spending time the their tenants.
Q. Can I request my roommate(s)?
A. Yes, we fill roommate requests to the best of our ability.
Q. What extras are furnished with the apartment?
A. All apartments are completely furnished with beds, dresser drawers, desks, desk chairs, table, bar stools, a sofa, loveseat and TV. In addition, we provide a microwave, dishwasher, vacuum and Ironing Board.
Q. Will I have privacy when my roommates have boys in the Apartment?
A. Yes, the BYU Honor Code does not allow boys in the girls’ bedrooms or bathrooms.
Q. Are there other study alternatives besides my daughter’s apartment at Nauvoo House?
A. Yes, the lounge is on the north end of the parking lot. There are couches and chairs in there for studying.
Q. Where can I practice the piano?
A. Yes, Nauvoo House has 2 Pianos. One is in the Piano Room, located on the first floor of the Clubhouse. The other is located on the second floor of the lounge. The pianos can be played from 8:00 am – 10:00 pm.
Q. Is there parking for my car?
A. Yes, Nauvoo House has ample parking. If you are bringing a car fill out the Parking Permit Application.
Q. What recreation activities are nearby?
A. Nauvoo House lounge offers a large screen TV, Fooseball Table, Ping-Pong Table, Pool Table, Weight & Exercise Room. The girls & guys also have the option of reserving the lounge for special activities at no cost. They may have a movie night, birthday party, Family Home Evening, or Ward Event, etc. The student center has a cafeteria, an indoor track, basketball courts, a pool, several volleyball courts, a bowling alley, a theater and a game room with pool, ping-pong, and video games.
Q. Where can I do my laundry?
A. Nauvoo House has a laundry room. Laundry is free and included in the lease price.
Q. Where do I attend church?
A. Nauvoo House is grouped into about 4 different wards. Each ward meets on campus and consists of men and women from other complexes.
Q. Where can my daughter buy groceries?
A. There are two Grocery Stores located in Rexburg, Broulims and Albertsons.
Q. Where can my I shop?
A. BYU has a student center with most necessary sundries. She can also walk or take a bus to downtown, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, and numerous fast food restaurants.
Q. Who makes repairs to the apartment?
A. Arden Bell is the maintenance manager. He is very dedicated to maintaining the appearance and condition of the apartments. Your son or daughter needs only to fill out a maintenance request on the resident portal and we take care of the rest. We take great pride in keeping Nauvoo House Apartments in good repair.
Q. Is there somewhere I can exercise?
A. Yes, Nauvoo House has an exercise room equipped with a treadmill, and a bike.
